Rihanna is Back

(AP Photo/Evan Agostini) Rihanna is Back – Robyn Rihanna Fenty (Rihanna) returned to the red carpet in New York on Monday.

The pop singer arrived Monday night at the annual Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum gala in New York in what was her first such appearance since she was allegedly assaulted in February.

Rihanna arrived in black – including both the SUV and her Dolce and Gabbana suit and bow tie. She was the last celebrity to walk the carpet and did not speak with the press.

The gala was once again hosted by “Vogue” editor Anna Wintour and it served as the kickoff to “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” exhibit.

Kate Moss co-chaired the event with Justin Timberlake. Guests included Madonna, Victoria Beckham and fashion designer Stella McCartney.

In other news, Rihanna has cancelled her comeback concert which the singer was due to perform in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later this month, but has decided she is not ready to take to the stage. The show was to be Rihanna’s first public performance since February 8, 2009.
