Ford Focus RS – Cars bearing Ford’s RS badge have always enjoyed cult status – and the latest high-performance Focus is set to maintain that tradition.
This is the twenty-second Ford model to wear RS (Rallye Sport) badges, first attached to the original Escort RS1600 in 1970. The quickest RS, it is also in many senses the quickest road-going Ford of all time.
Nobody else has put a 300bhp front-driven car into production. The Ford Focus RS 2009 can do 163mph. With applied scientific brutality, it can reach 60mph from rest in about 6.5 seconds: junior supercar territory. Watch the video…
