London Fashion Week: The Highlights – The sensual sounds of the samba, ushered in Caroline Charles’s ‘girls from Ipanema’ in cute, frilled bikinis and one-pieces in large and small polka dot and spot motifs.

The ‘tequila sunset’ motif continued in empire-line dresses with ruffled sleeves and necks, featuring drawstring details at the side to display more tanned thigh.

Mary Katrantzou, the young Central Saint Martins graduate, who is becoming renowned for her dazzling trompe l’oeil-effect prints, shone again with her spring/summer 2010 collection. – Picture: JANE MINGAY
