Fashion Week
A Fashion Week is a trade event, lasting approximately one week, open to registered buyers, press and members of the fashion industry only.
A fashion week gives fashion designers an opportunuty to display their latest collections in runway shows and enables buyers to take a look at the latest fashion trends. Also, it lets the industry know what's "in" and what's "out" for the various seasons. The most important fashion weeks are held in the fashion capitals of London, Milan, Paris, and New York City.
The schedule begins with New York Fashion week, followed by London Fashion week. The penultimate fashion week is Milan Fashion week and the schedule ends with Paris Fashion week. These four cities are the traditional "big four" fashion weeks that are followed by new emerging fashion weeks globally. The Menswear shows occur in between autumn(fall)/winter and spring/summer in Milan.
