French cosmetics company Lancôme have unveiled Emma Watson as the latest face of the brand. The latest brand to secure a bit of Watson ‘magic’ is French cosmetics company Lancôme who announced today that they have signed her as an ‘ambassadress’. Watson takes her place alongside Lancôme’s other brand ambassadors Julia Roberts, Penélope Cruz and Kate Winslet, in a campaign rumoured to be being shot by leading fashion photographer Mario Testino.

Emma Watson is Lancôme’s Latest ‘Ambassadress’ – The advertisement was directed by renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, who captured Watson as the face of Burberry for the label’s autumn/winter 2009 and spring/summer 2010 campaigns.

“Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancôme”, said Youcef Nabi, president of Lancôme International.

The debut took place on the famed main floor of Macy’s Herald Square in New York City, fresh from an appearance on the red carpet at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala on Monday.

Victoria, who is forging a career as a fashion designer in her own right, wore an Emporio Armani black fitted tuxedo jacket with black jet beaded shoulders and black Swarovski crystal beaded leggings.

The outfit was accessorized with an Emporio Armani black satin, platform shoe with a silver twist heel, and a Giorgio Armani oversized python clutch from the limited edition Armani/5th Avenue collection.

Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani’s diffusion line, also counts Victoria’s husband David as the star of the menswear range, and for the spring/summer 09 campaign the couple were pictured together in seductive bedroom scenes.
