She tells this month’s W magazine that she has used fashion to mould her persona in music videos and on stage, where she turns into her alter ego, Sasha Fierce.

Beyoncé Talks Fashion – The star talks about the power of fashion and goes through the seven looks that have shaped her 18-year career, which include her first solo video for Crazy in Love . “I wanted to be a female version of James Dean and wear an iconic white T-shirt and jean shorts. I always think about wearing something a fan could buy and make her own; as a young girl, I remember seeing so many artists, and then I’d try to dress like them. I sewed zippers on my jackets to be like Michael Jackson.”
